    On August 18, Belgium reported 2 HPAI H5N1 outbreaks in wild birds in Flanders. Two wild birds were infected and died.

3.  United Kingdom Reports 4 HPAI H5N1 Outbreaks in Wild Birds and 1 in Poultry

    On August 18 and 22, the UK reported 4 HPAI H5N1 outbreaks in wild birds and 1 in poultry in England. Fourteen wild birds were infected and died, while 300 poultry were infected, resulting in 100 deaths.

4.  Norway Reports 8 HPAI H5N1 Outbreaks in Wild Birds

    On August 18 and 22, Norway reported 8 HPAI H5N1 outbreaks in wild birds in two locations, including Finnmark County. Seventeen wild birds were infected, and 13 died.

5.  Portugal Reports 1 HPAI H5N1 Outbreak in Wild Birds

    On August 19, Portugal reported 1 HPAI H5N1 outbreak in wild birds in Faro District. One wild bird was infected and died.

6.  Spain Reports 3 HPAI H5N1 Outbreaks in Wild Birds

    On August 19, 20, and 22, Spain reported 3 HPAI H5N1 outbreaks in wild birds in two locations, including the Basque Country. Three wild birds were infected and died.

7.  Argentina Reports 1 HPAI H5N1 Outbreak in Wild Birds and 1 in Poultry

    On August 20, Argentina reported 1 HPAI H5N1 outbreak in wild birds and 1 in poultry in Buenos Aires. Fifty-four backyard poultry were infected, 49 died, and 75 were culled. Multiple poultry were infected and died.

8.  United States Reports 5 HPAI H5 Outbreaks in Wild Birds

    On August 22, the US reported 5 HPAI H5 outbreaks in wild birds across four locations, including South Carolina. Seven wild birds were infected.

9.  United States Reports 1 HPAI H5N1 Outbreak in Poultry

    On August 22, the US reported 1 HPAI H5N1 outbreak in poultry in California, leading to the culling of 1,398 poultry.

10. Canada Reports 4 HPAI H5N1 Outbreaks in Wild Birds

    On August 18, Canada reported 4 HPAI H5N1 outbreaks in wild birds across three locations, including New Brunswick. Ten wild birds were infected.

1.  Armenia Reports 1 Rabies Outbreak

    On August 19, Armenia reported 1 rabies outbreak in Syunik Province. One domestic dog was infected and died.

2.  Timor-Leste Reports 11 Rabies Outbreaks

    On August 22, Timor-Leste reported 11 rabies outbreaks in three locations, including Ermera District. Twenty-one domestic dogs were infected, 4 died, and 17 were culled.
